This is not about me. I am merely trying to help a friend, and I am asking you, the readers and regulars of No Quarter, to pitch in to help one of our own, Bronwyn's Harbor, known to her friends as Bronwyn. She is in the midst of a financial crisis, and she needs all the help she can get. This is my call to arms. All hands on deck!
Although we've never met in person, Susan and I have been friends for about four years, starting when she invited me to be a writer for this blog. Through our email exchanges, I've come to know her as a sweet and compassionate woman at heart, who has a fire burning within her that is impressive -- and sometimes scary! But beneath her warrior queen exterior, she is currently a victim of circumstances beyond her control, which it is hoped are temporary.
Her roommate left suddenly, leaving her in the lurch. She is in the process of moving and we all know how that drains resources. I've helped her a little bit, as my own meager means allow, with a donation sent through PayPal. I can't easily afford to give away money, but for a worthy cause, I do my best to help. Many of you have donated to political campaigns, where your money was probably barely noticed and did little good.
In this situation, your donations will actually provide real-world help to woman we all know who is in dire straits.
Susan is also busy making sure she can support herself in the future. She is working on a project with a famous movie star, a biographical book. She is developing other writing projects that have the potential to keep her self-sufficient. But right now, she is living on Social Security and a small stipend for running this blog. If her living arrangements had not changed suddenly, she'd be OK financially, but right now she's in a major pinch. So I am asking for your help.
Please, if there's any way you can help out financially, log into www.PayPal.com and donate as much as you can afford, be it $20, $100, or more (as I did), to the account of our friend Bronwyn (susanunpc at gmail dot com). If you don't already have a PayPal account, it's quite easy to set one up quickly.
If you don't use PayPal, or don't want to use it, you can send a check by snail mail to her. Please email me at email@example.com and I will provide you with her mailing address, and of course her mail will be forwarded to the new address when she moves.
Believe me, your help will definitely be going to a worthy cause, an urgent cause, and it will be deeply appreciated! Please contribute whatever you can spare. Thank you!!
